Some vehicles require Canbus connection, while others run normally without it. See wiring notes below. Optional accessories (reversing camera, DVR, external mic, AI DSP, voice assistant) are sold separately. Professional installation is strongly recommended. __ Installation & Power Cord Guidance For general car players: connect the ACC line to ports A and B, do not install Canbus, and select the power plug size according to the original vehicle interface. For highly equipped vehicles (with steering wheel function keys, fuel consumption display, or navigation trajectory), the Canbus is required. Without it, the ACC red line is not electrified and the unit cannot start. For highly equipped car players: disconnect ACC ports A and B, install the Canbus, and select the correct power plug size according to the factory interface. Always test the ACC red wire after shutting off the engine. If it remains live, reconnect separately to prevent power drain. __ Power Consumption Troubleshooting Do not connect both A&B ports and Canbus simultaneously. If issues occur, unplug the Canbus to check if the problem resolves. If power remains on after ignition is off, reconnect the ACC wire correctly. Replace non–Simple Soft Canbus units with a Simple Soft version if needed. __ Compatibility Reminder Units can be installed in standard VW dashboards with correct 2DIN slots. Certain dashboards with non-standard control layouts or compact OEM radios are not compatible.
