Carry the humidifier reservoir next to the sink. Remove the tank lid, chimney, and mist chamber. Rotate the mist chamber to the unlocked position and lift up to remove. Drain any remaining water and rinse thoroughly to remove any sediment or dirt. Avoid getting water into the internal components. Wipe clean and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. Refill with cool tap water. Do not overfill. To remove scale: Repeat steps 1-3 above. Clean all surfaces with a soft brush. Remove the chimney and mist chamber to gently scrub the area around the transducer and float with a soft brush. Remove the scale by wiping the entire humidifier with a cloth dampened with undiluted white vinegar. Rinse clean with warm water to remove cleaning solution before disinfecting the tank. To disinfect the tank: Fill the humidifier tank 1/2 full with water and 1/2 tablespoon of chlorine bleach. Let the solution stand for 20 minutes, swishing every few minutes. Wet all surfaces. After 20 minutes, carefully remove the tank lid, chimney, and mist chamber. Rotate the mist chamber to the unlocked position and lift up to remove. Empty the humidifier and rinse with warm water until you cannot detect any bleach smell. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. Refill the water tank as directed in Operating Instructions, and turn the unit on. Related
