IMAGES SHOWN ARE DIGITAL MOCKUPS, AND THE FINAL RESULTS MAY VARY. We're excited to announce that the highly anticipated six-CD collection from Polish extreme metal pioneers Magnus will be released on October 31, 2025! These six discs thoroughly showcase the band's journey from 1987 to their initial split in 1996, marking an important chapter in their history. Spikes. Leather. Over-the-top attitude. Broken English lyrics full of swear words. And manic speed/thrash riffing. Shitloads of it. It may sound like a crude and a tad too cliché description yet it fits MAGNUS like a glove. To say that one of Poland most famous extreme metal pioneers had to face insane struggle and obstacles in their early days while the Iron Curtain was just starting to crumble and soon to collapse would be quite a wild understatement. Spearheaded by Robert Szymański - aka 'Rob Bandit' - on vocals and Maciej Puto – aka 'Python' – on guitar and fueled by an unbridled passion for all things metal, although they started out as a more regular heavy metal outfit, they soon raised the bar in terms of speed and sonic violence, with the kind of raw energy one could seemingly find in the Eastern Bloc scene in the mid/late 80s. This limited boxset documents the first chapter of the band, stretching from 1987 until their initial split in 1996. What you have here are three killer albums – 1991's Scarlet Slaughterer, 1992's I Was Watching My Death and the overlooked Alcoholic Suicide – plus three demos – 1987 aptly titled Power Metal, 1988's Trash Speed Blood and 1991's The Gods of the Crime. This impressive body of work showcases the rapid evolution of a young yet hungry set of musicians determined never to stand still nor pay attention to the trends, no matter what they were.
